BLOG START - NEW CHASSIS PART I

Hey there!
My name is Daniels Bambals, I am rc drift enthusiast from Latvia.
I got into this hobby in ~2012 and as a lot of people I started with tamiya tt-01d.

Seemed like a good starting chassis, but with small potential in my opinion. Already after a year I decided that I need to switch the tt-01 for something more "serious". It was about time when StreetJam OTA-R31 was released. It was supposed to have 50 degrees steering lock out of the box for decent price and a lot of hop-up options, didn't wait too long and ordered it.
Honestly when it finally arrived I was maybe a little bit too excited, but it's a good feeling to get a new chassis isn't it?
Started to assemble it immediately. That was my first time assembling chassis so I took my time and tried to do everything carefully and without any rush.
Everything was packaged good and divided in individual packs according to building steps

Already the first thing I did not really enjoy was plastic pulleys, where you needed to glue one side to it. I just felt that they are not going to last long.
In step 2 steering rack was assembled, also suspension mounts and motor mount was added. All chassis was plastic, which made a little bit of play in steering rack and also did not please aesthetically, so carbon and alloy parts will be a must as a first hop-up.
For next step both (front and rear) pulley holders were assembled.
That's all for first assembly part.
STAY TUNED!
